We Get It! Zero Tolerance to Bullying, harassment and discrimination
All staff and students have the right to work and study in a safe and supportive environment. The University has a zero tolerance policy towards any form of bullying, harassment or discrimination.
Think: Think about your actions: making someone feel stressed or anxious is harassment, even if it’s unintentional. One person’s ‘harmless banter’ can have a negative impact on the safety and enjoyment of others. No one should have to feel uncomfortable for the sake of a joke.
Make sure you know what’s meant by bullying, harassment and discrimination.
Talk: If you think you or someone you know is being treated badly, talk to someone about it.
Get in touch with an advisor online using the report and support online form.
Challenge: If you see someone being treated badly and you feel safe to do so, challenge it.
If not report it.
If you know a student who requires further information or support see the crucial guide on bullying and harassment.
