Report and Support
The University’s Dignity at Work and Study Policy and the informal procedure for staff and students set out the arrangements in place to challenge bullying and harassment. They aim to provide a fair, unbiased, confidential process which treats people with respect empowering people to be heard.
You can use the online Report and Support button to report bullying, harassment, or discrimination and either get support or report it anonymously.
If you request support your details will be passed to an advisor who will contact you to explore your options and provide details of the support services available at the University.
You can also contact your School directly.
It’s usually preferable to try and sort things out locally. However if you would prefer to make a formal compliant you can contact your Faculty Office directly.
Regulation XVIII sets out the formal procedures for investigation of student complaints, including complaints of unacceptable behaviour.
You can also choose to contact them directly:
- A Student Support Advisor can discuss any issues or concerns you may be experiencing
- The Student' Union Advice Service can provide information and advice on personal and academic issues.
- Mediation may be able to help you resolve a disagreement or conflict informally
- The Counselling Service offers confidential help with any personal issues affecting work, self-esteem, relationships, mental health and general well-being.
- The Disability Support Office work with a large number of students who have a range of support needs.
- The Pastoral Care Team can help if it’s something that’s happened in University accommodation
